What Did We Think?

Coffee tables weren’t something that we ever thought would be a part of the gameday experience, until now. When we saw the Sobro coffee table I was like this is different and I need to check this out. We got our unit delivered and they even brought it in the basement for the quick set up in front of our TV. In this review we will focus on the unique features and how well these features stand up to our Tailgating Challenge.

The style of this table is amazing, it looks like a futuristic speaker from an alien spacecraft. The tabletop is a gloss back with a touchscreen panel that controls all of the action. There are underbody lights that give off an amazing glow and vibe for your gameday experience. You can lock the lights in on a certain color or have them fade and rotate. The styling and vibe this smart coffee table gives off is second to none.

What also makes this coffee table special is that it has a built in fridge, so you never have to get up and miss a moment of the game. The pull out drawer can hold almost 35 canned beverages and gets down to 37 degrees. There is an interior fridge light, so you can see all the drinks at night too. While testing, I was able to determine that the fridge temps have what I call hot and cold zones. There are some spots that are down to 37 degrees but others in the low 40’s. I’d like the fridge to not only get colder (Think 33 degrees) but to also have more consistent cold zones. When fully loaded the fridge drawer will open fast with an audible clunk, so it could be a little smoother with the opening.

Finally, there are multiple USB and AUX ports so you can keep your phone, tablets and laptops charged up. There are two speakers built into each side of the Sobro Coffee Table that can be used to play music, or can be paired to your TV. The downside with pairing to your TV is that if you use a surround sound system with your television you can’t pair the coffee table with these, so it’s one or the other. The speakers are ok, but they aren’t in the same ballpark as the surround sound I already have on the TV. I will be using them for music vs additional sound with the TV.

Conclusion

PROS: sleek design, good lighting, storage, ability to store 34+ canned beverages, multiple charging stations
CONS: speakers are good not great, the fridge door will slide out fast at the end and ‘bang’, touch screen is not as intuitive or consistently user friendly as I’d like.

Overall, this is the coolest coffee table that I have seen, and it’s not close. If you’re ready for your coffee table to be as gameday ready as you are, then it’s time to upgrade to the Sobro Smart Coffee Table.
