I’ve been a gym buff since 8th grade and it is a part of my daily life. When COVID-19 hit and the gyms shut down I was crushed. I knew that I couldn’t let that stop me, so I started to build out a home gym to fulfill my needs. Part of a perfect home gym is having a mirror, so you can check your form (and your gains bro, sorry had to).
I started getting in weights and other equipment, but knew I wanted one head to toe mirror to check my form on exercises. Most mirrors I found in stores were either way too small, or too fancy. Further, I don’t need an ornate frame around the mirror in my home gym. Then I saw a social media post from Dulles Glass and Mirror and started to look into their offerings for my gym mirror needs.
These mirrors are made for gym use and actually come with all equipment to mount this to your wall:
- Rectangle mirror(s) with flat polished edges in your specified size
- A set of chrome round mirror clips (2 per set)
- 2 tubes of mirror glue (5 fl oz – 147.86 ml)
- J-bar, and mounting screws. J-bars come in two lengths: 60″ long and 72″ long; depending on the width of your mirror
My gym is an unfinished basement, so you can do like I did and place it on the floor and lean it against the wall. I’ve had it this way for a few weeks now and no issues at all.

When the mirror was delivered the delivery truck had to back in the driveway. I state this as I get TONS of deliveries and no one has ever had to back in the driveway to make a delivery. I share this to state that this mirror is big and they make sure the packaging is secure to protect the mirror. I was able to get the mirror down to the basement, but in hindsight I will recommend using a partner to help you get the mirror to it’s final resting place. You will also want to make sure you have some partners if you decide that you want to mount this gym mirror to the wall.
This mirror is heavy duty and has good weight to it. I’ll be honest I didn’t know a lot about mirrors prior to getting my Dulles Gym Mirror, but I learned that the low-iron glass used can help ensure better clarity. I didn’t think I’d be able to tell the difference, as I thought a mirror is a mirror, but now I’m learning that there is a difference as I look at different mirrors and compare them to my new gym mirror.
Another thing that is claimed, but I didn’t test for obvious reasons, is that if this mirror takes impact it won’t shatter into many sharp pieces. Yes, it will still be damaged, but check the video (below) as I added a side by side comparison showing exactly what I’m talking about below.
I use this mirror everyday and honestly I love it. It is perfect for my home gym. I just needed one for my needs, but I can see how someone could get multiple mirrors and make a whole wall of mirrors for their personal gym.
