What Did We Think?

A tailgating tent is one of the essential items for tailgates. Tents help keep the sun off you during the day, but when night comes that is when the Canopy Buddy, well really shines. Let’s talk about our experience with using the Canopy Buddy in our tent.

First, let’s talk about set up. This will be short part as the setup is a breeze! The legs pull out and then you hook the four legs of the Canopy Buddy to your tailgating tent frame.

The Canopy Buddy has three speakers built in. There are two speakers pointing down and 1 pointing up. These are Bluetooth speakers that pair to your phone and the volume can also be controlled by the included remote control. Note the power button for the Canopy Buddy must be pressed hard and you will hear an audible click when it engages. The speakers play music and can easily be heard in and around the tent. Our one piece of feedback is that when the speakers are turned up to the max you can tell they aren’t as crisp.

When the sun goes down that’s when it’s time to light up your tent. The Canopy Buddy has two different styles of lights. One is ambient colored lighting that goes around the edges and can light up blue, red or green. Then there is a spotlight that has two different powers to really light up your tent. This does a great job of really lighting up the tent at night.

The Canopy Buddy can also charge your phone if you’re running out of juice and we all know this happens when you’re tailgating all day long.

Canopy Buddy can be used on a tabletop as a lantern and speaker if you aren’t using it your tent. In our review our focus was using this in our tailgating tent, but note there are other uses when you’re not using as a tent.

Conclusion

PROS: simple set up, remote controlled, great light at night
CONS: speakers aren’t as crisp when turned up all the way up

Overall, this is a gamechanger for nighttime tailgates. If you’re looking for the ultimate popup tailgating tent accessory, look no further you found it, Canopy Buddy.
