I’ve tested quite a few tailgating chairs and wanted to put together a list of some of the best and most unique seating options, for tailgating, that I’ve come across. In my quest to find some of the coolest chairs ever, I came across the Football Hanging Lounge Chair made by FlowerHouse. This is unlike ANY chair you’ve seen at the tailgate scene. This is a giant hammock that met a football and then out came a Football Hanging Lounge Chair that will allow you to HANG out at the game in style and comfort.

I came across the Flowerhouse team when I was attending a tradeshow in Las Vegas and was immediately drawn to these chairs that they had on display. They had three of them set up. One was the plain football chair, then they had two team designs: Michigan and Michigan St. I had to sit in this chair! I got cozy in the chair before even speaking with the representative they had at the National Hardware Show. We exchanged contact information and were able to get one of these Football Hanging Lounge chairs sent to us for further testing and review.

When the package arrived it was big and it was heavy. The parts weigh 65 pounds, but it’s a little heavier with packing material and boxing. I unloaded the parts on my front porch and then transported them to my back patio, where I would later set this FlowerHouse Football Hanging Lounge Chair.

In getting this set up I’d budget about 30 minutes the first time. I did the installation by myself, but it would be much easier and faster if you had a partner to help assist (where was Sketchy when I needed him?). First up, the quad leg base that you slide the included bolts into and attach each leg to the base of the curved frame. Next, you place the second part of the curved frame in and place two bolts in to secure the entire frame set up. The next step is where I struggled and you could save some time and frustrations by getting a partner to help fully open the football chair portion of the lounge chair. You have to fully open the football and then you lock it in with small bolts at the top and bottom. This is the tricky part as you’re having to pull the football apart to get it fully open and also slide in the lock bolts to keep it open. Get a partner, promise them they can sit in the chair first, and save yourself some time. You’ll thank me later. Once that is locked in you simply attach the straps at the top and then slide it on the frame and voila you have the coolest chair on the block!

The FlowerHouse chair has a thick cushion pad that goes in the bottom for next level comfort. Speaking of comfort did I mention there are stitched in drink holders on each side of chair?

When I sat down in the chair all I could say was ahhhh, as it was very relaxing. you can spin around and be in your own world. The only downfall with this chair is the size/portability, as it is bigger and heavier than most tailgating chairs. While this may not be feasible to take to every tailgate it is perfect for every HOMEGATING event you throw. When you get yours do me a favor and remember to share the gameday throne with your friends, especially the one that helped you set it up.
