Power, Power, Power we all want it! From having power at your job, in the gym, and on the field. BUT we aren’t here to talk about that kind of power. We’re here to talk about sending this power to all of your gadgets. Having your cell phone run out of juice is devastating, or what about the TV going out during the game because you ran out of power at the tailgate? Those types of situations can literally ruin your day, so do something about it. Supercharge your life with the Jackery Explorer 160.
The Jackery Explorer 160 is the smallest portable power station in the Jackery lineup, but it can still get the job done. It only weighs about 3 pounds, but can power your devices for hours. It powers devices like drones, laptops, tablets, cell phones and more. Let’s take a look at some of the specs to see if this is the model for you:
Battery: Lithium-ion. Capacity: 11.6A@14.4V 167Wh
Input: Charging port 12V-30V 42W max
Output: AC output 110V, .9A, 60HZ
100W continuous, 150W surge peak
12V DC port
USB-A port (2X) 5V, 2.4A
USB-C port 5V, 3A
2xUSB-A port+USB-C port: Total 30W max
You can charge the Explorer 160 by Solar Panel (takes about 6 hours), AC Plug (5 hours), or 12V car port (5 hours).
Once fully charged it can provide up to 12 phone recharges, 3 drone charges, 2 laptop charges.
The Explorer 160 is awesome as it is super portable, doesn’t use any gas, and holds a charge over time (even when you’re not using it regular). The Specs we posted earlier show that there are some limitations with this device as it can’t power heavy power drawing objects. A good example is a coffee maker. I had a new tailgating coffee maker I got in and due to the electrical draw it would not power this device. For some of those items I’ll need to upgrade to Jackery’s bigger model.
Overall, this is extremely convenient to have on hand. I have one in my home in case we lose power and another in my vehicle in case I get stranded, or just need to start the tailgate party. Stay safer and have more fun with the Jackery Explorer 160.
Question
Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 160,
Can this be used to power an outside house for feral cats? The temperatures can go below zero. It would be outside on a covered porch. Thank you.
