We are all familiar with the classic 40 ounce malt liquor beverage. These were the iconic drinks that many would drink out of a brown paper bag to get the party started. They were strong, cheap and got the job done. Most graduate to other drinks as they get older, but let us never forget this iconic beverage. History
It is suggested that malt liquor was first massed produced in America in 1948 by CLIX. The iconic 40 ounce bottles were introduced into our landscape in 1964 by Miller Brewing Company. The 1980’s took the popularity of the 40 ounce beverages to the next level. In current times many now look down their nose at those drinking a 40, but I like to think of it as those that are embracing their history.

Candle Testing
We got our 40 oz. candle in and it was wrapped well with bubble wrap. As I started to peel the bubble wrap away I could smell it, Baby Powder. We were sent the Baby Powder Version of this candle and I have to say that it is one of the most unique candle smells that has graced my nose.
The candle looks awesome and very similar to the iconic bottles that we know so well. Starting the candle was easy but as the wick burned down into the 40 oz candle it was harder to light the again.
This is a candle that I love the style of and is it bad that I don’t want to burn it all the way down, so I can preserve the styling?
Conclusion
PROS: unique smell, long burn time, iconic styling
CONS: this candle has a select group of fans that will love it, also starting the burn took a few times as the wick burns down into the candle and then its harder to light
Overall, this may be one of the most expensive candles we ever tested and it’s also one of the most unique. This candle is not for everyone, but if you’ve ever had a malt liquor 40 oz bottle touch your lips then you may understand this candle more than most.
