Newair Prismatic Beer Fridge Review

We love a good beer fridge and have tested many over the years. We don’t get too excited about most beer fridges, unless they are doing something totally different and the Newair Prismatic (model number: NBC126HX00) is doing something pretty freaking cool. This beverage fridge can not only keep your drinks cold, but it also has the most eye-catching door of any beer fridge we have ever seen. Crack open a cold one and let’s learn more about the Newair Prismatic Beer Fridge Review.

Prismatic Beer Fridge Features

-Two sizes 126 or 85 can design (this review was done on the 85 can model)

-RGB lighting in the door (with remote control)

-7 different cooling settings

-Interior LED light

-Removable shelfing

What Did We Think?

I’ve tested quite a few Newair fridges over the years and when I go into a review I like to focus on cooling, flexiblity for different sized bottles and any unique features the fridge possesses.

Let’s get right down to it and talk about the cooling powers of this Prismatic fridge. It has 7 different cooling settings, with 7 being the coldest setting. This unit does not have a digital temperature display (would be awesome upgrade). When doing temperature testing the temperature varied depending on what part of the fridge we were shooting for temp. The average temperature was around 36-39 F.

The Prismatic fridge comes in two different sizes (126 cans and 85 cans). In this review we tested out the 85 can model, as we wanted to stack this on top of our other Newair Beer Froster Fridge, to make a double decker beer fridge for the man cave. This fridge is similar to other Newair models in the fact that the shelves can slide out and you can set your fridge up in a variety of ways to meet your needs. Each of these models total can capacity is doable, but you may need to use some of your tetris skills from back in the day to reach the max number quoted.

Now onto the coolest feature, pun intended, the color changing lights built into the glass door! The doors have RGB Hexacolor lights that look like honeycombs in the top and bottom portions of the door. There is an included remote so you can control the colors and if you want the colors to transition/change. This is one of the coolest upgrades a beer fridge has ever seen and it can really set the ambiance and be a centerpiece in your homegating area.

Conclusion

PROS: ability to hold a ton of beers, unique RGB lighting in the door, LED interior lighting
CONS: no digital thermostat, doesn’t get as consistently cold as more expensive Newair models

Overall, this is a quality beer fridge that comes with what is the coolest beer fridge door of all time. If you’re ready to keep your drinks cold and your door lit then it’s time for the Newair Prismatic beverage fridge.
