Let’s face it, night time munchies happen to everyone, but we all know we aren’t supposed to eat a bunch of junk food before bed. What do we do? The cake, chips and ice cream call your name and sometimes the call is too much and you indulge. You know you shouldn’t, but you just can’t help yourself.
It’s time for something that tastes good and is ok to eat before you go to bed….Its’ time for NIGHTFOOD. What is Nightfood? Nightfood looks like an energy bar, but what is inside is far from an energy bar. Energy bars are the last thing you would want to eat before bed, because you don’t need a ton of carbs and sugar to then sit around and sleep. The NightFood bars are formulated with ingredients to help you sleep better. The bars do NOT have anything that will cause you to fall asleep (the video below is all done in fun and again no ingredients that will zonk you out).
The NightFood bars were made to help people eat healtheir and get better sleep. Currently, there are two flavors of these bars: Cookies and DREAMS and MIDNIGHT Chocolate Crunch. They both have 140 calories, 4 grams of fat, 25 carbs and 6 grams of protein.
Let’s talk about an actual review of these bars. First, I’ll say that I’m one that doesn’t really eat sweets, so I’ve never struggled with binge eating junk food at night. This being said, we all can still ensure things that we consume in the evening are going to support our diet and sleep. I’ve had numerous protein bars in my life and these Nightfood bars are similar. Both options of the NightFood bars taste great in my opinion. The one thing that some may not like is that they are a little chewy. While I like both of them, if I had to pick, the Cookies and Dreams would be my go to.
PROS: helps support sleep, helps make better food decisions at night, tastes good. These bars can be eaten by kids and adults.
CONS: bars are pretty chewy
Overall, if you or your kids need to start making better night time eating choices then its time to check out NightFood.
