What Did We Think?

I have seen plenty of people not know the score while playing cornhole, at tailgating parties. I have even seen fights break out due to a discrepancy in the score. There are multiple cornhole scoreboards out there, but when I saw Scorebox 21 I did a double take, as it stood out and was easy to see what the score was.

When I got my Scorebox 21 in it didn’t disappoint in the looks category. The board is easy to read and the lights beside each number light up day, or night to easily see the score. This is one of the most aesthetically pleasing items to ever come to the sport of cornhole.

The unit uses 6 AA batteries (not included) to power the 42 lights on the board. There is a ON/OFF/RESET button in the center top portion fo the board, that will get the game started. When you score you simply push the button on your side up and the lights will move up. There is also a down button to subtract points. Once a team hits 21 there is a light show that the winning side of the board will do, to ensure you know who won the game.

Now setting the board up took a moment to understand how to get the Scorebox 21 ready for action. There is a release lever that allows the base to drop down. Then you will pull the support up that will insert into the notches into the legs for the board to lean back on.

Tear down was slightly more challenging than I anticipated. You have to work the clips to allow them to release in multiple areas. I’m told over time these will loosen up, but there is opportunity to make this more user friendly. See the video below to see set up and tear down of the Scorebox 21.

Conclusion

PROS: simple to change score, easy to see visual of the score, drink holders and phone holder
CONS: set up and tear down could be more user friendly
