What Did We Think?
I flew into Baylor to attend the Utah vs Baylor game to meet up with Chuck and learn more about the MVTailgate TV system. Meeting the inventor of fun tailgating gear is special for me and it helps us learn even more about the inspiration behind the product.
When I arrived Chuck was about to set up the MVTailgate, on the tailgate of his Ford F150. I asked if he needed any help and he politely declined and then went on to set up the entire MVT system, complete with FOUR TV’s, in record breaking time. In less than 2 minutes he had the full system ready to go, by himself! I quickly learned that the MVT would pass the ease of setup challenge.
As we talk about install let’s talk about the question that may be popping in your head: Will the MVT damage the paint on my ride? Nope, this is all smooth PVC piping that will not damage the finish on your vehicle.
Having 4 TV’s literally attached to your tailgate saves a ton of space at the tailgate, but my next question is how sturdy is the MVT? Will it be able to handle wind, or a tipsy tailgater bumping into it? When I asked this question a sly smirk came across Chucks face and said hold my beer and watch this. He proceeds to vigorously shake the unit in a way that made me nervous, as I thought a TV would be destroyed in this test. You can see the full test in the video below, but spoiler alert the MVT held up to abuse that it would likely never see. No TV’s were harmed in the making of the video.
In addition to saving space at the tailgate it has the ability to be custom designed to hold one, two, three or even four TV’s! You don’t have a tailgate? No Worries! They also have a ground unit that can hold up to one 55 inch television.
It was a pleasure meeting up with Chuck and his wife Dee to experience this innovative tailgating TV solution that passed all of our tests we threw at it during the tailgating party in Waco, TX.
