We know a great chair can mean the difference between a comfortable tailgating party, or feeling like you should have gotten a better chair. One area of comfort that many forget is that HEAT could make a big difference on cold days. We found the all new Terrain Heated camping chair and needed to put it to our Tailgating Challenge. Let’s get into the Gobi Heat Terrain Heated Camping Chair Review.
Features of Terrain Heated Chair

We have tested a couple of other heated camping chairs, in the past, so we know some of the things to look for to determine how competitive a new heated chair will be with the competition. When we are testing a chair we want to focus on ergonomics, portability, and of course heating ability.
First, lets get into the ergonomics aspect. This has a steel frame that can hold up to 300 pounds and is rugged. We had no issues with feeling like this chair would hold up over the years with our testing. I also liked the pivoting heads on each leg that can help adapt to uneven terrain. With the chair itself I wish the armrests were a touch higher for my personal comfort. There is also one cupholder on the right side of the chair to hold your drink.
Next we dive into portability. This terrain heated chair comes with the standard carrying case that the chair slides in pretty easily (you may have to work it just a little bit). The steel frames adds some weight to this chair, so you’re trading some durability for a slightly heavier chair.
How’s The Heat?
Finally, let’s talk HEAT! If you’re reading this review this is what you are the most interested in. I’ll save the drama, when it comes to heat in a chair this is the best heated chair I’ve tested.
-Dual heating zones on both your back and your rear (some chairs only have ONE heating area)
-3 heating levels. The 3rd heating level is the warmest heat I’ve ever felt from a camping chair as it goes over 130 degrees F. You can feel this heat within about a minute of firing up the rechargeable battery.
The heating on the highest level (3) is amazing. The heating on level (1) is not very powerful and not a setting I’d likely use much. Heating level (2) gives solid heat. If you’re running it full blast then you’ll get around 4 hours of heat and if you go with the lowest heating level you could get up to 9 hours.
PROS: dual heating zones on back and rear, best heat I’ve felt from a heated chair levels (2 &3), ability to charge your phone, pivoting heads on each leg for better use on uneven surfaces
CONS: heating level (1) is unimpressive, armrests were too low for perfect ergonomics for me
Overall, when it comes to heated chairs this the best when it comes to heating. The heat this Gobi Heat Heated Terrain Camping chair puts out is simply amazing.
