I’ve always been a fan of both Bacon and Peanut Butter. I’ve had some incredible sliders that included both of these ingredients that always make my mouth water. It was only a matter of time before these two ingredients came together, like never before. Meet BacoNut Butter where chunks of bacon are in the peanut butter jar.

How’s it Taste?

We ordered a jar of the Bacon Butter off of amazon and went with the original to see how it was without any additional flavors added. When I opened the jar the first thing I had to do was take a big sniff and the smell is primarily peanuts with a hint of bacon. When you look at the BaconNut Butter you can see small specs of bacon in the mix.

I got a spoonful of it and took my initial taste. As with the smell it was still primarily peanut flavor, but there is a hint of bacon. The bacon adds some additional crunch/chew to the peanut butter.

I know this will work well with burgers, so I wanted to try something different. The classic Elvis sandwich with peanut butter, bacon and bananas was going to be what we put together to see how this Bacon Peanut Butter performed.

We got the sandwich put together and took a big bite. It was pretty dang good. Now it may have been just as good without this type of BacoNut Butter, but it is super fun to cook with and one of the ultimate bacon snacks.

Conclusion

PROS: good flavor combination, fun presentation, 3 different flavors

CONS: more expensive that regular peanut butter, chewier than I’d expect

Overall, if you love peanut butter and bacon I’d suggest giving this a try once and see what you think. I think the Honey flavor they sell would be the missing piece that takes this from good to great. Guess I’ll need to try that one next.
