If you are a tailgater then it’s a must to have a tent to help block the sun, but also define your space at the tailgate party. The team at Quick Shade made a tailgating tent, but with a twist that is a welcomed addition for tailgaters.
The Quik Shade Solo Steel tent is like most pop up tents in how it sets up, but it comes with adjustable side awnings to help block the sun/elements as the day progresses. Finally a tent that can help adapt to angle of the sun!
The set up took 3 of us to do, 4 is normally perfect for these type of tents (one person per corner). The tent comes in a nice bag that has both carrying handles and rolling wheels. We unpackaged the tent and pulled the four corners out. Next, we put the fabric top on and connected it on each corner. The adjustable awnings have an additional bar that connects to the bottom for support. Set up took about 15-20 minutes the first time, but likely faster now that we have learned the needed steps.
The Quik Shade tent has 4 stakes that come with it and they did a pretty good job of holding the tent in place even with gusty winds we experienced the day of the test.
The tear down was a breeze and what I loved the most…The tent EASILY fit back in the carrying bag. We all know that doesn’t happen with all tents. The Quik Shade tent weights a little under 50 pounds.
PROS: Adjustable Awnings! easy set up and tear down, fits in the bag. 170 square feet of shade
CONS: only comes in black for color choice, 4 more stakes would be nice to be included.
Overall, this is a big time tent and with the adjustable awnings it will take your tailgate to the next level.
