There is an art to shotgunning a beer. The first step is properly opening up the beer can. In the classic shotgunning of a beer you’ll grab a car key and pop the side of the can open to then place your mouth on this new opening and letting the air flow force the beer into your system. From having a hard time opening the beer, to cutting yourself, to spilling a bunch of beer, things could go wrong fast. The SuperKoldie koozie was designed as an easier way to shotgun your beer, but in a reverse fashion.
The SuperKoldie koozie is a thick foam koozie with fun sayings on the side like:
-SH!T Could be Worse
-Drinking Beer and Raising Hell
-Til Death Do Us Party
-And Many More.
The Koozies do a good job at keeping your beer of choice ice cold. The sayings are fun that are posted on the koozie, but the reason this koozie is unique from the slew of koozies you have stashed at your house is due to the Party Starter button. This is the button you press when you’re ready to do a reverse beer shotgunning session.
I’ll preface the following review and video by saying I never have and never will be good a shotgunning a beer. Heck I prefer to sip on an ice cold beer vs slamming one, but I know plenty of people who have and will do a beer shotgun to get things started out.
I placed my beer of choice Naturdays into the koozie with the mouth of the beer on the opposite side of the Party Starter button. This way you won’t spill beer on yourself. I then popped the tab on the top of the beer and hit the Party Starter button. Once you hit the button you better start drinking, as the beer will be flowing out the bottom(around the Party Starter Button). This is a reverse shotgun, so you still drink from the normal opening of the beer. The hole that the party starter button made creates additional air flow to help the flow of the beer as you turn it up.
Overall, this SuperKoldie Koozie works for its purposes. It’s simple, no one will get cut on the can, and it provides the additional airflow that shotgunning a beer was made for.
This product is not for everyone, but for anyone that plans on shotgunning a beer in the future this could save injury and increase the speed of your fun.
